01Scope of services

SongSure LLC provides catalog registration services: we register your musical works and accounts with the rights organizations listed below, acting as your authorized agent and Designated User where the organization permits. One purchase covers up to 50 tracks (works). Tracks 51 through 200 are $10 per additional track, payable before registration of those tracks begins, and are covered by the guarantee once paid. Catalogs larger than 200 tracks are priced by custom quote. What we do, per organization:

ASCAP

• We guide you through completing your own writer membership application. ASCAP requires new writer members to submit their own applications with a government ID and a live biometric liveness check; we cannot submit it for you.
• After you are elected, we register your works and maintain your catalog as your Designated User, using separate credentials. You never share your own password with us.
• We register the writer and publisher splits exactly as you provide them. At ASCAP, writer interests must total 50% and publisher interests must total 50%.

BMI

• We guide you through completing your own writer affiliation application. The writer affiliation agreement must be signed by the writer personally; we cannot sign it for you.
• We register your catalog and keep it current as your authorized agent.

SESAC and GMR

• For artists already affiliated with SESAC or Global Music Rights, we register works inside your existing account and screen co-writer affiliations.
• We do not promise, attempt, or sell SESAC or GMR affiliation. Both are invitation-only with no public application.

SoundExchange

• We assist with registering your featured-artist and rights-owner accounts and claiming your recordings.
• All work is performed under your signed Account Authorization Form. We never sign Letters of Direction except as your designated LOD Signatory on file, and we never rely on a general power of attorney, which SoundExchange does not recognize for this purpose.

The MLC

• We register your catalog with The MLC under your own member profile, acting as your authorized agent or as an invited user under your profile, under your signed authorization.

What we do not do

• We do not register copyrights with the U.S. Copyright Office. That is a separate process.
• We do not act as your publisher, administrator, or rights holder without a separate written agreement granting those rights. Acting as your registration agent does not assign us any ownership in your works.
• We do not represent SoundExchange or The MLC as performance rights organizations. They are not PROs.

02What we cannot do

The organizations set hard rules we cannot bend, and we will not pretend otherwise:

• ASCAP writer applications: ASCAP requires all new writer members to submit their own applications, verified with a government-issued ID and a live biometric liveness check. We cannot create or submit your ASCAP writer application for you.
• BMI agreements: the BMI writer affiliation agreement must be signed by the writer personally.
• SESAC and GMR: both are invitation-only with no public application. We cannot obtain affiliation with either on your behalf.
• SoundExchange signatures: Letters of Direction require the signature of each featured performer or the designated LOD Signatory on file, with ID-matching or certified e-signature. We do not sign or submit them without that authorization.
• One PRO at a time: writers can belong to only one US performance rights organization at a time. We will not affiliate you with a second PRO as a writer, and we screen every client for existing affiliations.

03Artist responsibilities

Our guarantee and timelines depend on you doing your part:

• Complete the required personal steps promptly, including your own ASCAP or BMI application and any identity verification.
• Provide accurate, complete catalog data: titles, co-writers, agreed splits, and publisher information for every work.
• Disclose all existing PRO affiliations and publishing deals before work begins. Undisclosed affiliations can breach exclusive grants and void registrations.
• Sign our limited authorization forms, including Designated User authorization and the SoundExchange Account Authorization Form, as required.
• Pay any fees the organizations themselves charge directly to those organizations. PRO fees are subject to each PRO's current fee schedule and are not included in our price.

04Refund and guarantee terms

"Every work in your catalog registered at every organization you are eligible for, completed within 30 days of receiving all of your materials, or your money back."

• The clock: the 30-day period starts when we have received all of your materials: complete catalog data, your completed personal PRO application steps, and signed authorization forms. The period pauses if you have not yet completed a required personal step.
• Refund void if: you fail to complete required personal steps within the period, or you provide inaccurate, incomplete, or false catalog data or split information.
• How to claim: request a refund in writing within 14 days of the deadline passing. Refunds go to the original payment method.
• Scope: the guarantee covers completion of registrations, not royalty outcomes. Registration puts you in the system; it does not guarantee royalties, and royalty processing timelines are set by the organizations, not by us.

05No legal advice, no tax advice

SongSure LLC is not a law firm. Nothing on this site, in these terms, or in our communications is legal advice or tax advice, and nothing creates an attorney-client relationship. Our service is registration assistance based on the organizations' published policies. For questions about publishing deals, affiliation agreements, or tax treatment of royalties, consult a licensed attorney or tax professional.

06Data use

We hold your catalog data and personal information only to perform your registrations. We do not sell your data and do not share it with anyone except the organizations themselves, acting as your agent, or as required by law. We retain your data only as long as needed to complete the service and support your records.

07Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SongSure LLC's total liability for any claim arising from this service is limited to the amount you paid for the service. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost royalties, except where the money-back guarantee applies. The organizations set their own rules, timelines, and fee schedules, and we are not responsible for their decisions or processing times.
